Reporting (according to CSRD / VS)

Partnering for success & creating Value together.

Our Approach

1. Assessment

1. Assessment

We analyze which data, processes, and responsibilities already exist in your company – and where gaps lie. This is how we lay the foundation for your reporting, whether according to ESRS or VS.

In the first step, we get an overview: How do you manage all sustainability aspects? Where does your organization stand in the areas of environment, economy, and social affairs? Which topics are already being addressed – and where are there blind spots? To do this, we record the current status along the ZNU fields of action, identify existing structures, processes, and data, and recognize what is missing for a potential certification.

Result: An overview of existing and missing data, processes, or responsibilities.

Typical duration: Over several rounds of coordination, usually within 1–2 weeks.

2. Materiality & Report Scope

2. Materiality & Report Scope

For CSRD-compliant companies, we jointly conduct the double materiality analysis and identify your material, reportable topics. When applying the voluntary standard (VS), we determine the required disclosures from the Basic and Comprehensive modules. This establishes exactly what you actually need to report on – no more and no less.

In the first step, we gain an overview: How do you manage all sustainability aspects? Where does your organization stand in the environmental, economic, and social areas? Which topics are already being addressed – and where are there blind spots? To this end, we record the current state along the ZNU fields of action, identify existing structures, processes, and data, and recognize what is missing for a possible certification.

Result: An overview of the KPIs to be tracked, the text sections to be drafted, and internal responsibilities.

Typical duration: Depends on the type of report and the desired scope. For a CSRD report and a complete materiality analysis, several workshops over a period of 4–6 weeks; for a simple VS report, straightforward coordination processes over the course of 1–2 weeks.

3. Data Processes & Responsibilities

3. Data Processes & Responsibilities

To ensure that reporting doesn’t remain an annual Herculean task, we’ll work with you to establish the processes, responsibilities, and tools you need to collect the right data on an ongoing basis in a way that stands up to audit scrutiny. We’ll also document the necessary strategies, measures, and goals for your key areas of focus.

4. Reporting & Audit Assurance

4. Reporting & Audit Assurance

We combine your information into a resilient sustainability report and ensure that everything is correctly documented and prepared in an audit-proof manner. Thanks to the previously established processes, you will have your reporting in your own hands in the future – for a routine that you can support independently.

Result: A sustainability report that meets the requirements of CSRD/ESRS or VS.

Typical duration: Depending on the type of report, 2–3 weeks (VS) to 4–6 weeks (CSRD/ESRS).
