Dr. Julian Frede

After studying economics, Julian moved into development cooperation. After project consultations in Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Benin, and Senegal, he returned to the University of Trier. Here, he earned his PhD in economics and subsequently worked for eight years at KfW's subsidiary, Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft (DEG), where he expanded his expertise in the areas of strategy, impact measurement, and management. Julian is the managing director of evolutiq Impact Advisory and is involved in projects and in national and international networks to make impact and sustainability more tangible and to move towards implementation and scaling. Julian enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, especially when traveling, hiking, or gathering with the extended family and friends. He is also personally committed to issues of sustainability, impact investing, and politics. It is always evident that here, a hobby has turned into a profession.
