Dr. Rupini Deepa Sobottka

Rupini has 17 years of international experience in banking, finance, capital markets, sustainable investing, and advisory services – with career stages in Malaysia, the UK, the US, and Germany. Previously, she worked for Standard Chartered Bank, Maybank Investment Bank, Crowe Horwath, ShoreBank International, and Berenberg, among others. She holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Reading, a Master's in Finance & Management (University of St Andrews), and a Bachelor of Business (Victoria University). In addition, she was an assistant professor of Social Investments at the University of Hamburg. As Director at evolutiq Impact Advisory, Rupini assists financial institutions and investors with the pragmatic implementation of ESG and sustainable finance topics. Her core focus areas include ESG frameworks, stewardship & engagement, sustainability analysis, governance, as well as AI-powered approaches for investment and business decisions. In her personal life, Rupini is a mother of two, speaks four languages, and is passionate about travel, new cultures, innovation, technology, and sustainability.
