The multifunctional property is being developed by a joint venture between Logicenters, Nrep's development and management platform for logistics properties, and a German family office. The building sets high standards with an aimed DGNB Gold certification and innovative energy solutions such as a photovoltaic system on the roof and a heat pump. The project development is carried out by the Cologne investment and asset management company evolutiq GmbH.

The property will be located at Heidestraße 18 in the established Meckenheim industrial area. The location offers direct access to the motorway to the Netherlands, Belgium, and southern Germany. The building permit focuses on a gross floor area of approximately  23,000 m² with two usable units. One of these units has already been rented to PVS eCommerce-Services GmbH. Construction is scheduled to begin in Q1/2025, with planned completion by no later than Q1/2026.

“We have been supporting evolutiq since the beginning of the project and are also assisting in marketing the newly developed spaces,” says Mr. Dirk Schwindenhammer from the economic development office of the city of Meckenheim, adding: “I am glad that after the building permit has been granted, we can soon get started, and something new will be created in the Kottenforst industrial park.”
