Düsseldorf/ Köln, 26 November 2024 – evolutiq GmbH & Nreps Logicenters have received the building permit for the development of a modern logistics area in Meckenheim.

The multifunctional property will be developed by a joint venture between Logicenters, Nreps' development and management platform for logistics real estate, and a German family office. The project sets high standards with a targeted DGNB Gold certification and innovative energy solutions such as a photovoltaic system on the roof and a heat pump. The project development is carried out by the Cologne investment and asset management company evolutiq GmbH.

The property will be located at Heidestraße 18 in the midst of the established Meckenheim industrial area. The location offers direct access to the highway to the Netherlands, Belgium, and southern Germany. The building permit is based on a gross floor area of approx. 23,000 m² with two leaseable units. One of these units has already been rented to PVS eCommerce-Services GmbH. The start of construction for the project development is scheduled for Q1/2025, with planned completion by no later than Q1/2026.

“We have been supporting evolutiq since the beginning of the project and are also assisting with the marketing of the newly emerging spaces,” says Mr. Dirk Schwindenhammer from the economic development department of the city of Meckenheim and adds: “I am glad that it can soon begin after the issued building permit and something new will emerge in the Kottenforst industrial park.”
